Hello, Tyson House!
I’ve just finished cleaning up the user database after we were slammed by a bunch of spam bots over the weekend (which registered 200+ accounts on Circles. I was all excited until I saw they were computers, haha). I tried hard to be careful about which accounts I was deleting during clean-up, but if I’ve accidentally deleted your account, please let me know, and I’ll get you back up and running. So sorry!
In order to circumvent this in the future, the registration page now has a CAPTCHA image you have to read before you’re allowed to register. Hopefully this will take care of it.
In addition, I understand there are a few accounts which never received activation e-mails. If you’re one of those folks, please let me or your Circle group leader know. When we were first rolling out the system, e-mails were taking a minimum of 40 minutes to send and, worse, there was a 2-3 day period when the system just stopped sending e-mails altogether. I sincerely apologize for these problems; everything seems to be working fine now (e-mails are getting out in less than 5 minutes, at present).
Alright! Thanks for being flexible as we try to get all the kinks worked out of Circles.
Peace,
Justin Crisp
